CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY:
Working on you is as beneficial and important as working on your baby. You are both deeply interlinked. This can be done whilst you are holding or feeding baby or if your baby is asleep.
Treatment for you can:
- help to support your nervous system during this emotional time
- help with bonding
- help with any trauma or stress that you might be experiencing following birth
- help you to feel calm and relaxed so you can feel confident in your new parenting role.
- help you to understand how to soothe your baby through your own body regulation.
MASSAGE:
Suitable from 2 weeks postpartum and is designed to support and nurture new mums.
During the first weeks to 3 months post partum mums go through many emotional and physical changes and may still experience pain, tenderness, soreness and stress as a result of the birthing journey. This early phase is a critical time for recovery, and massage can help with:
- muscular strain from labour
- reducing neck and shoulder tension from breastfeeding
- gentle reconnection of the abdominal muscles
- minimising pelvic girdle pain
- reducing oedema to legs
- elevating mood
REFLEXOLGY:
Reflexology can be of huge benefit following birth, helping with hormone balancing, digestive issues, and providing a space to rest, relax and nurture your body.
It can be difficult to find time around a baby’s changing sleep and feeding
schedule, so babies are always welcome to come to the appointment too. They can
be fed or held during a treatment if needed and often relax alongside you.
